Christmas Cards

Hey! Hope everyone is having a great day today! I went to a friends house today and we spent the day scrapbooking. I really enjoyed myself!! I made a couple of Christmas cards today since December is quickly coming our way!!
Hope ya'll like them!

For the first card I used Debbie Mum papers. The stamp is an old (really old) stampin up stamp. I colored it using Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. The ribbon I had in my stash. I am entering this one in the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

On this card I also used Debbie Mum papers. I cut out one set of trees and used pop dots to give it a little dimension. I thought the paper was so pretty, so I made it a really simple card. I added two colors of ribbon at the bottom of the card with a Merry Christmas stamp. I borrowed the stamp from my friend.

Hope ya'll have a great day and an AWESOME weekend!

Thank you card

Hi everybody! Boy, has it been a long time since I've done anything. We had a busy summer and my baby boy started kindergarten this year! I think it was harder for me than it was for him. He is really liking school. I made this card for my neighbors. They had a garden this summer and grew lots of watermelons. They gave us several of them, and were they GOOD!!!! Just wanted to share this card with ya'll. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Scrapbook Layout

Hi! Wow, I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since I've posted. I haven't really done a whole lot as far as paper crafting this summer. I made a mini scrapbook album for my Mother. That took me quite a while. I forgot to take pictures of it before I gave it to her so I'll get some pictures of it next time I see her and post them. Anyway, I made this layout of the snow we got here in Southeast Texas in December of last year. We don't normally get snow here, especially not enough to cover the ground. It was so beautiful!! Wish it would snow more often. Hope you like it.

Ya'll have a wonderful week!

Whew!! Is it just me or does it take everyone hours to make a card?!! I can't whip one out in 30 minutes or even an hour. Oh, well. I needed to make a birthday card for my Aunt. Not sure exactly how old she will be but I know she's in her 80's. She lives in Florida so I don't get to see her very often. She loves mice so I know she will love the House Mouse stamps. The house mouse challenge for this week is to make a birthday card so I thought I would enter it in the challenge.

I colored the stamp using prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits and I covered the candles with blue glitter glue.

I stamped one of the mouse out twice colored it and raised it with foam dots.

They were really good (the hamburgers), well the kids were good too, very good kids! Anyway I wanted to show ya'll the DVD case cover I made for the video of my son's pre-school graduation program. The theme was " God's Love Goes Overboard". The kids wore t-shirts with a fish on it and a sailor cap. They were just toooo cute! This is my baby Chance with some of his friends before the program started. He is the 2nd one from the right.

Now I'll show you the DVD case. This is the front:

Graduation Card #2

It's SUMMER!! YAY! My kids last day of school was Thursday! My middle son graduated 8th grade and my baby graduated Pre-School! My oldest will be a Junior now! I love having my kids home! The high school graduation isn't until June 5 so I still have time to make a few more cards. Hopefully things will settle down a little now and I can spend more time paper crafting. I really need to work on my scrapbooks! I am soooo far behind! Anyway, we are going to watch the girls Varsity Softball team play today in Lufkin. I wanted to show ya'll the graduation card I made. My boys really like this one a lot. I use orange on the cards because our school colors are black and orange.

I cut the "congrats" using my cricut.

I cut an extra one and cut off the graduation cap and used pop dots for dimension. I made the tassel with embroidery floss. I colored the letters with orange marker and covered it with STICKLES! I use stickles a lot.

I made another pocket for the inside of this card also. I usually give money for graduation, especially for the guys!
Thanks for stopping by and looking. Sorry it's been so long since I've done anything. I'm hoping we will have a very relaxing summer vacation and that I'll have time to do lot's of scrapbooking and card making! Ya'll have a wonderful day!!

Birthday Card

Hi! Hope everyone is having a good day!! It is raining like crazy here. We are under a flash flood warning in our area! Great day for paper crafting! Anyway, I started this card for a challenge about a week ago. The challenge was to use the colors bright blue, bright pink, and bright orange. I got the card made and that was about it. Now that I have my new Penny Black stamps and it's been raining I figured I would finish the card. This is how it turned out.

After I colored the stamp with prismacolors and gamsol, I used stickles to cover the balloons. I love stickles!!
On the inside of the card I made a pocket to put money in for those last minute birtday parties the boys go to.

SUPPLIES: blue, pink, orange, and white cardstock, Penny Black stamp, prismacolor pencils, versamark ink, stickles, and hero arts stamps.

Wow! I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I've made anything and posted on my blog!! It's been crazy the last couple of weeks but hopefully things will settle down and I will have more time to play with my stamps. I got my new Penny Black stamps in the mail today and had to use them. I just love the little hedgehogs!!! I made a card using the MOJO Monday sketch and the colors for the Stamp Something Challenge which were yellow, blue, and green.

It's hard to tell from the picture but the ribbon is green and yellow.
I also made a scrapbook layout of my family when we went to see my sister and her family in Canada 2 years ago. Yes, I am WAY BEHIND on my scrapbooking!!

Well, Ya'll have a wonderful weekend! It's suppose to rain here tomorrow so I hope I can play with my stamps again tomorrow!!
